The first look at Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves premiered today at Comic-Con in San Diego. Attendees were treated to the first trailer, as well as a couple of clips from the unfinished film. Directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the duo who directed Game Night, the film is sure to resonate both with fans of the epic game and moviegoers who appreciate grand expeditions.

While not much has been disclosed regarding the plot, here’s what we do know. Chris Pine is a bard and seems to be the leader of a group of thieves that includes a barbarian (Michelle Rodriguez), a sorcerer (Justice Smith), a druid (Sophia Lillis), and a paladin (Regé-Jean Page). After stealing something that brings about some type of big bad, they work together to attempt to undo the evil they’ve caused and bring down the villain, played by Hugh Grant.
Sure, it’s not much to go on, but if you know anything about the game, then you know that there’s plenty of adventure in store for the audience with epic battle scenes filled with magic and magical creatures. It’s too bad we have to wait until March 2023 to see how it all plays out. (See what I did there.)
Check out the trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves coming to theaters on March 3, 2023.
