The SXSW Film & TV Festival is known for giving you a sneak peek into the hottest films and series coming down the pipe. But what some may not realize unless attending in person is that the entire city of Austin comes alive during that time. Not only can you catch a film or TV show before the rest of the world, but there are activations and experiences that line the streets of various Austin neighborhoods for added fun in between screenings. The Audible Sound Experience was just another one I had the privilege of attending.
Audible is the leading creator and provider for audio storytelling. When someone tells you that they just finished the latest thriller audiobook, chances are they did so using Audible. Well, Audible turned their auditory experience into a visual one via a carnival, complete with a Ferris wheel.

Attendees were able to play a variety of carnival-inspired games, earn prizes, and carnival concessions, including corn dogs, cotton candy, and popsicles, infused with festive-themed listening moments, of course.
Guests were also treated to live performances and entertainers while they became acquainted with Audible’s various offerings, including podcasts and audiobooks. It was a great time to take a break from waiting in line for your next screening, connect with other festivalgoers, and enjoy the Austin atmosphere.
You can experience The Audible Sound Experience from Friday, March 8, through Sunday, March 10.
