Apple TV+ just released the full trailer for Fraggle Rock: Return to the Rock, and suddenly I’m a kid again.
Watching the trailer will set you right back in the 80s. The colors, music, and characters will make you want to dance your cares away. Yes, Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, and Wembley are all back. Joining them are a few new characters voiced by Kenan Thompson, Patti LaBelle, Daveed Diggs, Ed Helms, and Cynthia Erivo. Everyone is ready to embark on “epic, hilarious adventures about the magic that happens when we celebrate and care for our interconnected world.”
Back to Rock follows the success of Apple TV+’s Fraggle Rock: Rock On, which featured a collection of shorts. Both come from the Apple TV+ deal signed with the Henson Company for a complete reboot of the 80s cult classic.
The original series ran from 1983–1987. Now, 30-years later, it looks and sounds just as fun as it did way back then. While the 80s kids don’t get their original theme song — which reminded us to leave our worries for another day — but I’m sure the series will host a plethora of new songs to add to our nostalgia playlist.
